Sheltair, one of the nation’s leading providers of aviation support services, is gearing up to welcome many of America’s most ardent football fans arriving to attend the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on January 9th.

Ms. Karen Kroeppel, Director of Sales and Marketing for Sheltair, stated, “Our terminal at Tampa International Airport (TPA), will be the closest thing to an aviation tailgate party during this much anticipated football bowl game between the Clemson Tigers and Alabama’s Crimson Tide. We expect hundreds of aircraft to arrive in the days leading up to kickoff. In addition, our FBO facilities at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport (PIE), Albert Whitted Airport (SPG), and Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) will also be welcoming additional aircraft filled with supporters heading to the stadium. For us, it is about bringing all of our resources to bear so that arriving and departing fans enjoy red carpet treatment, no matter which side they are rooting for.”

“For college football fans, this is the Superbowl, the World Series and the Masters all wrapped up with a single bow, and it keeps the holiday excitement alive for yet another week,” observed Kroeppel.

Supporting the Bowl “airlift” Sheltair professionals create a parking plan to ensure each aircraft is afforded appropriate support while transportation is arranged for guests whether they wish to arrive at the stadium by complimentary shuttle bus or private car service. Sheltair also coordinates with onsite catering companies so that food and beverages are provided as needed. In addition, televised access to the game is offered to flight crews along with “tail gate” amenities at planeside and the ability to earn triple AVTRIP rewards.

Sheltair’s Tampa facility has consistently brought top honors in serving the aviation community with its customer service and facility offerings. It has four hangars totaling 108,000 SF of hangar space, 14,000 square feet of terminal/FBO support space, 12,000 square feet of canopies for covered aircraft parking and over 10 acres of apron and aircraft parking space.

“There is little we cannot provide our visiting aircraft, crew and guests. The only thing we can’t do is pick the winning team,” Kroeppel continued.

TPA is also conveniently located just minutes from the stadium and downtown Tampa and its beaches which makes it the prime airport for business and recreational travelers seeking to easily access these destinations after the final touchdown.
