GENEVA, SWITZERLAND / May 22, 2017 / GENERAL AVIATION NEWS – Representatives of the Sheltair team join Avfuel Corporation in booth G88 at EBACE 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland, to network with international operators, educating them on Sheltair’s array of services across its 17 FBO locations.

Most notably, six of the 17 locations (SAV, TPA, ORL, FLL, FRG and FOK) are undergoing hangar developments. The projects are now pre-leasing so operators can secure a priority space immediately.

The Sheltair SAV team in Savannah, Ga., commemorated the completion of its newest hangar with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 29—this hangar is already full and plans are underway for a third hangar, expected to be completed in the fall of 2018.

At its newest location in Tampa, Fla., Sheltair (TPA) began construction on a 32,000 square foot hangar, expected to be completed this fall.

Sheltair ORL in Orlando, Fla., finished Phase I of its development project this month, featuring two new hangar facilities totaling 22,600 square feet of hangar space and 3,600 square feet of office space, including state-of-the-art administrative support. Limited space is still available. Phase II of Sheltair ORL’s development project—scheduled to begin July 1—features a new, 30,000 square foot executive terminal to be completed within a year.

Sheltair FLL in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is on track to complete its Westside Hangar Complex expansion this fall. Situated outside the Lago Mar TFR zone and designated as a gateway airport, Sheltair FLL is the perfect South Florida destination when the president’s in town.

Hangars are also under construction at Sheltair FRG in Farmingdale, N.Y.—just a 12 minute helicopter ride to the heart of Manhattan. Sheltair FRG is a prime option for operators wanting to avoid taxiway delays and the congestion experienced at other New York metropolitan airports. The construction of two hangars totaling 70,000 square feet is expected to be completed this winter; pre-leasing is now available.

Sheltair’s Westhampton Beach, N.Y., location (FOK) is also constructing hangars. Operators flying in for a summer in the Hamptons can’t miss the sight of a new, 25,000 square foot hangar complex taking shape at the FBO.  Sheltair FOK offers its operators flexible leasing terms for seasonal and yearly hangar space.

In addition to its property developments, Sheltair also offers international operators the benefit of duty free shopping at three of its New York metro airports: Westhampton Beach (FOK), Farmingdale (FRG) and New York (JFK). Sheltair JFK also offers exterior aircraft cleaning while Sheltair LGA (La Guardia) now offers biometrics for U.S. clearance.
